Derrick Jackson: podcast appearances and interviews

Derrick Jackson is an American politician and military veteran serving in the Georgia House of Representatives. He represents Georgia's District 68 and previously represented District 64 before running for the Democratic nomination in the 2022 Georgia lieutenant gubernatorial election. Jackson was first elected to the state house in 2016 and did not seek re-election in 2022 as he pursued his gubernatorial ambitions. In 2023, he was elected again in a special election to fill the seat vacated by Tish Naghise. Beyond his political career, Jackson is a retired lieutenant commander in the United States Navy, a corporate executive, and affiliated with First Baptist Church Gallatin. In June 2025, he announced his candidacy for governor of Georgia in the 2026 election but was ultimately defeated in the Democratic primary.
