Debbie Wasserman Schultz: podcast appearances and interviews

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 25th congressional district. First elected to Congress in 2004, she is a member of the Democratic Party and has held various political roles including service in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. She was also a national co-chair of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign. Her congressional district encompasses much of southern Broward County, including a significant part of Fort Lauderdale. In 2011, Wasserman Schultz became the chair of the Democratic National Committee, succeeding Tim Kaine. She served in this role until her resignation in 2016, which followed the public release of emails via WikiLeaks that indicated bias within the DNC staff favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the 2016 Democratic primaries. The leaked emails revealed discussions among DNC officials on strategies to weaken Sanders' campaign and discredit his supporters. After her resignation from the DNC chair position, Wasserman Schultz was appointed as a senior surrogate for Hillary Clinton's campaign.
