David Leslie York, born on 13 April 1941, is an attorney, CPA, author, and co-founder of COREnology. He has a background in cricket, having played for Shropshire and various club teams, including Bridgnorth, Old Hill, Kidderminster, and West Bromwich Dartmouth. His cricket career began with his debut in the Minor Counties Championship in 1961 and continued until 1976. York made a single List A appearance in the 1974 Gillette Cup against Essex, where he scored one run and bowled 12 overs with figures of 1-34. Additionally, he participated at the Second XI level for Northamptonshire and Worcestershire County Cricket Clubs.
