David Ward: podcast appearances and interviews

David J. Ward, born on 10 October 1948 in London, is an artist, writer, and former futures floor trader affiliated with High Performance Lubricants. Before transitioning into his current pursuits, Ward worked for 14 years as a veterinary surgeon while pursuing interests in paleontology as an amateur. His engagement with the field included participation in several expeditions across Africa. In 1988, he made a career shift to focus entirely on paleontology. Ward has traveled extensively to regions including Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Americas, as well as to Uzbekistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Throughout his career, he has published over 50 scientific articles and co-authored a bestselling book titled Fossils, part of the Smithsonian Handbook series. His contributions to paleontology have been recognized with the Skinner Award in 2007. Currently, Ward combines his expertise in art and writing with his background in science and trading, bringing a diverse set of skills to his professional endeavors.
