David Wagner: podcast appearances and interviews

David Wagner is a professional football manager and former player. Born on October 19, 1971, he grew up in West Germany and made his professional debut with Eintracht Frankfurt in 1990. During his playing career, he played as a striker for several clubs in the first and second divisions of German football. Wagner has a diverse national background, being the son of an American stepfather and a German mother. He represented the United States national team, earning eight caps between 1996 and 1998. Transitioning into management, Wagner led Borussia Dortmund II from 2011 to 2015. His managerial career includes a notable achievement when he took over at Huddersfield Town in November 2015. Under his leadership, Huddersfield was promoted to the Premier League via the 2017 EFL Championship play-off final. He left Huddersfield in January 2019 and subsequently had brief managerial spells at Schalke 04, a Bundesliga club, and Young Boys in the Swiss Super League. Currently, he is affiliated with Aptus Capital Advisors.
