David Stone is the Division Chief of Positive Mindset and Emotional Intelligence at the U.S. Naval War College. Prior to his role at the Naval War College, Stone had a career as a keyboard player, during which he gained recognition for his work with the bands Rainbow and Max Webster. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he gained international acclaim after performing with Rainbow and was voted the fifth best keyboardist in the world by the Japanese magazine Music Life in 1978. His career included work on tour circuits and with various bands such as Symphonic Slam, which achieved gold status in Japan, and Max Webster. Stone was also involved in the prog metal genre, contributing to bands like Vision and AraPacis, with whom he collaborated on albums from 2019 through 2022. He has been married to journalist Madelaine Drohan. Throughout his diverse career in music and leadership, Stone has been recognized for his musical talent and his contributions to emotional intelligence and positive mindset practices.
