David Spade: podcast appearances and interviews

David Wayne Spade, born on July 22, 1964, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and podcaster known for his use of sarcasm and self-deprecation in his comedy and acting roles. He gained prominence as a writer and cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1996. Spade has been recognized with nominations for four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for his television roles. In 2003, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His television career includes notable roles such as Dennis Finch on the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me!, which earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He also starred in the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules and the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement. In addition to his acting career, Spade hosted the late-night talk show Lights Out with David Spade on Comedy Central from 2019 to 2020.

Spade's film work features leading roles in movies such as Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Joe Dirt, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, The Do-Over, and The Wrong Missy. He has supported roles in films including The Benchwarmers, Grown Ups and its sequel, and The Ridiculous 6. His voice acting includes characters in animations such as Ranger Frank in The Rugrats Movie, Kuzco and Kronk in Disney's The Emperor’s New Groove and its sequel, and Griffin in the Hotel Transylvania series. Since 2022, Spade has hosted the podcast Fly on the Wall with Dana Carvey and in 2023, hosted the Fox game show Snake Oil.
