David Schweikert: podcast appearances and interviews

David Sheridan Schweikert is an American politician and businessman who has served as the U.S. representative from Arizona since 2011. His district includes most of northern Phoenix along with Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and Cave Creek. Schweikert has represented different districts over the years, including Arizona's 5th, 6th, and 1st congressional districts. He is a member of the Republican Party. Prior to his tenure in Congress, Schweikert served in the Arizona State House of Representatives from 1991 to 1994. He also chaired the Arizona state Board of Equalization from 1995 to 2004 and was Maricopa County treasurer from 2004 to 2007. Since March 2025, Schweikert has shared the deanship of Arizona's congressional delegation with Paul Gosar following the death of Raúl Grijalva. In September 2025, he announced he would not seek re-election to the U.S. House and declared his intention to run for the Republican nomination for Arizona governor in 2026.
