David Plouffe: podcast appearances and interviews

David Plouffe is an American political and business strategist known for his role as campaign manager for Barack Obama’s successful 2008 presidential campaign. He has served as a long-time Democratic Party campaign consultant and was a partner at the campaign consulting firm AKPD Message and Media, which he joined in 2000. Plouffe was an outside senior advisor to President Obama from the beginning of his presidency and was appointed to a White House role as a senior advisor following the resignation of David Axelrod in 2011. In this capacity, he advised the president on various policy and strategic issues until Axelrod’s departure to start Obama’s reelection campaign. Beyond his government service, Plouffe has held executive roles in the private sector, including serving as the Senior Vice President of Policy and Strategy for Uber beginning in September 2014 and transitioning to a full-time strategic adviser in May 2015. In January 2017, he joined the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to lead its policy and advocacy efforts. Additionally, he has engaged in nonprofit activities, including joining the board of ACRONYM in 2019, where he advises on digital campaigns with an anti-Trump focus.
