David Packouz: podcast appearances and interviews

David Mordechai Packouz, born on February 16, 1982, is an American entrepreneur and musician. He is the CEO and founder of Singular Sound, a music technology company. Packouz has a diverse background that includes work as an arms dealer, musician, and inventor. He gained recognition for his involvement in a large government arms contract through the company AEY Inc. He joined the company in September 2005, and by 2007, AEY had secured a significant contract to supply the Afghan Army with ammunition and munitions. The contract involved securing weapons from Albania, which originally sourced ammunition from China, a violation of US contract terms, with Packouz playing a role in the concealment of the origins of the ammunition. This controversy led to a review of US contracting procedures. Packouz was sentenced to seven months of house arrest for conspiracy to defraud the United States. He became the subject of the 2016 film 'War Dogs,' where he was portrayed by Miles Teller and made a cameo appearance. Following his legal issues, Packouz co-founded War Dogs Academy, an online school designed to teach how to start a government contracting business. He later transitioned into music technology, inventing the BeatBuddy guitar pedal drum machine and leading Singular Sound as its CEO.
