David Letterman: podcast appearances and interviews

David Michael Letterman, born on April 12, 1947, is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for hosting late-night television talk shows for a total of 33 years. His broadcasting career began with the debut of Late Night with David Letterman on NBC on February 1, 1982, and concluded with the final broadcast of Late Show with David Letterman on CBS on May 20, 2015. Throughout his career, Letterman hosted 6,080 episodes across both programs, surpassing Johnny Carson as the longest-serving late-night talk show host in American television history. In addition to his hosting duties, Letterman is a television and film producer. His production company, Worldwide Pants, produced his shows as well as other programs including The Late Late Show and several primetime comedies. The most successful of these was the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. His influence within the late-night television genre has been acknowledged by many subsequent hosts, including Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jon Stewart, several of whom succeeded him in various hosting roles. Since 2018, Letterman has hosted the Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.
