David Leigh: podcast appearances and interviews

David Leigh is a British journalist and writer known for his role as the investigations editor of The Guardian. He is the author of Investigative Journalism: a survival guide. Leigh officially retired in April 2013 but continued his association with the newspaper. In 1977, he revealed the existence of the Information Research Department, a secret British government propaganda agency. This disclosure led to further revelations about covert operations, including the existence of Orwell's list, smear campaigns against British trade unionists, and British propaganda activities in countries such as Korea, India, Malaya, Indonesia, Cyprus, and Ireland. Throughout his career, Leigh has been recognized for his investigative work and contributions to journalism.
