David Edmonds: podcast appearances and interviews

David Edmonds, born in 1964, is a British philosopher known for his work as a radio feature maker at the BBC World Service. He studied at Oxford University and holds a PhD in philosophy from the Open University. Edmonds has held fellowships at the University of Chicago and the University of Michigan. He is the author of Caste Wars: A Philosophy of Discrimination and the co-author of Wittgenstein's Poker, a book recounting a famous philosophical debate, as well as Bobby Fischer Goes to War, which details one of the most significant chess matches of all time. Alongside Nigel Warburton, Edmonds produces the widely listened-to podcast Philosophy Bites, which explores philosophical topics in accessible format. He also hosts the Philosophy 24/7 podcast series produced by Hugh Fraser of the Storynory podcast and works as a consultant for Michael Chaplin on the BBC radio plays The Ferryhill Philosophers. Additionally, Edmonds authored Would You Kill the Fat Man? a book that examines the trolley problem, its variations, and the responses of different ethical theories.
