David Bruce Cole was an American professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for six seasons between 1950 and 1955. Born in Williamsport, Maryland, he attended Williamsport High School. Cole was known as one of the 'wildest' pitchers in the league, with a career walk rate of 7.556 walks per nine innings. He achieved a notable feat in 1952 while pitching for the Boston Braves in a game against the Philadelphia Phillies by recording three outs without throwing a single strike. Throughout his career, Cole spent four years with the Braves, during which he transitioned from Boston to Milwaukee. He later played a season with the Chicago Cubs before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for Roy Smalley Jr. Upon his trade to Philadelphia in 1955, Cole reportedly remarked that they were the only team he could beat. After retiring from baseball, Cole became a co-founder of Hammerking Productions, contributing to the company's development and growth.
