Davante Lavell Adams is an American professional football wide receiver currently affiliated with the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). Born on December 24, 1992, Adams played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs for two seasons, earning recognition as a second-team All-American in 2013. He was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. During his time with the Packers, Adams was initially low in the wide receiver depth chart but became a prominent player following a Pro Bowl selection in 2017. He signed a four-year, 58 million dollar contract extension and progressively served as the team's top wide receiver, establishing a notable partnership with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. His achievements include leading the league in receiving touchdowns in 2020, setting personal bests in receptions and receiving yards in 2021, and being named First-team All-Pro twice and selected to the Pro Bowl five times during his eight-year tenure with the Packers. After failing to reach contract agreements with the Packers in 2022, Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, where he signed a five-year, 141 million dollar contract making him the highest-paid wide receiver at that time. He led the league in receiving touchdowns in his first season with the Raiders and was named to his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl. In 2024, Adams was traded to the New York Jets and subsequently released, after which he signed a two-year deal with the Rams.
