Daniel Bourke: podcast appearances and interviews

Daniel Bourke (1886 – 13 April 1952) was an Irish politician affiliated with Fianna Fáil. Prior to his political career, he worked as a wagon builder. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Teachta Dála for the Fianna Fáil party at the September 1927 general election representing the Limerick constituency. Bourke was re-elected in every subsequent general election up to 1951, initially for Limerick and later for Limerick East from 1948. In addition to his parliamentary service, he served as Mayor of Limerick from 1936 until 1941, holding the distinction of being the first Fianna Fáil mayor. His political career continued until his death in 1952 during the 14th Dáil. Following his passing, a by-election was held on 26 June 1952, which was won by John Carew of Fine Gael.
