Dallas Hendry Smith, born on December 4, 1977, is a Canadian singer and songwriter known for his work as a solo country music artist and as the lead singer of the hard rock band Default. He is signed to Big Loud Records. Smith holds the record for the most number one hits among all male Canadian artists on Billboard's Canada Country chart, with eleven chart-topping singles. His album Side Effects marked a significant achievement by becoming the first Canadian country album in the Nielsen BDS era to produce four consecutive number one singles from one album, a feat later matched by his subsequent album, Timeless. At the end of 2012, Smith was recognized by Mediabase as the most played Canadian country artist and ranked eighth overall across all formats.
