Corey Blake: podcast appearances and interviews

Corey Blake is an American entrepreneur, storyteller, and former actor and filmmaker. He founded Writers of the Round Table Press, a publishing house based in Highland Park, Illinois, that produces graphic novel adaptations of popular books and educational materials. Blake's publications include renditions of titles such as The Long Tail, The Art of War, and various motivational and educational books, which are used in classrooms and youth detention centers. His motivation for translating these works into comic book format is to attract busy professionals and a new generation of readers who prefer to be entertained while being educated. Blake has organized projects to adapt the United States Constitution into a graphic format, including depictions of women in historical roles to highlight gender inclusion. In 2013, he initiated the production of The Crusaders, a comic targeted at fifth-grade students that features real-life authors as superheroes to inspire children facing challenges. He also illustrated the story of Riley Weinstein, a teenage girl who survived numerous health crises. Prior to his publishing career, Blake was an actor who appeared in television shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Shield, Fastlane, and Joan of Arcadia. He directed and produced award-winning short films, and starred in commercials for brands including Mountain Dew, Mitsubishi, and American Express. His work in advertising garnered several awards, including a Bronze Lion at the London International Awards.
