She is a full professor in the History and Philosophy of Science programme at the University of Melbourne. Fine has authored several popular science books focusing on social cognition, neuroscience, and misconceptions about sex differences. Her book Testosterone Rex, which explores myths related to sex differences, received the Royal Society Science Book Prize in 2017.
