He played college football for the Texas Longhorns, where he achieved numerous awards and honors during his senior year in 2009. McCoy is notable for ranking second all-time in games won by an FBS quarterback. Selected by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL draft, he spent time with several teams including the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals.
