Colin Matthews: podcast appearances and interviews

Colin Matthews, OBE, is an English composer and author affiliated with Tech For Product. Born on February 13, 1946, he is recognized for his work in contemporary classical music, particularly for creating large-scale orchestral compositions. Matthews has also established a reputation as a prolific arranger, interpreting works by composers such as Berlioz, Britten, Dowland, Mahler, Purcell, and Schubert. His arrangements include orchestrations of all 24 of Debussy's Préludes, both books of Debussy's Images, and two movements from Ravel's Miroirs. He earned a doctorate from the University of Sussex focusing on the works of Mahler, and between 1964 and 1975, Matthews collaborated with his brother David Matthews and musicologist Deryck Cooke in developing a performance version of Mahler's Tenth Symphony.
