Colin Lewes Hanks is an American actor and filmmaker born on November 24, 1977. He is recognized for his role as Gus Grimly on the FX crime series Fargo, which earned him nominations for a Golden Globe Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Critics' Choice Television Award. Hanks gained mainstream attention through his main role on the WB science fiction series Roswell and his lead role in the film Orange County. He also starred in the blockbuster King Kong and has appeared in films such as The Great Buck Howard, Untraceable, The House Bunny, Parkland, Elvis & Nixon, Nobody 2, and Nuremberg. Hanks played supporting roles in the Jumanji film series and had main roles in television series including The Good Guys, Dexter, Life in Pieces, The Offer, and A Friend of the Family.
