Clea Helen D'Etienne DuVall is an American actress, director, producer, and screenwriter born on September 25, 1977. She gained prominence in the late 1990s through supporting roles in films such as The Faculty, But I'm a Cheerleader, and Girl, Interrupted. Her filmography also includes Ghosts of Mars, Identity, 21 Grams, The Grudge, Zodiac, and Argo. On television, she has appeared in recurring and regular roles on series including Carnivàle, Heroes, American Horror Story, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles, Better Call Saul, Veep, and The Handmaid's Tale. Additionally, she voiced Elsa in the animated sitcom HouseBroken, which she co-created. DuVall has directed the comedy films The Intervention and Happiest Season. She also created, wrote, and executive produced the coming-of-age drama series High School, which debuted in 2022.
