Christiana Figueres is a Costa Rican diplomat renowned for her role in leading national, international, and multilateral policy negotiations related to climate change. She was appointed Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in July 2010, just six months after the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.
