Chris Kyle: podcast appearances and interviews

Christopher Scott Kyle was a United States Navy SEAL sniper and author. He served four tours in the Iraq War and received several military awards including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and a Combat Action Ribbon. Kyle was one of the most prolific snipers in military history, with a claimed 160 confirmed kills in combat, and was awarded one Silver Star and three Bronze Star Medals with V devices for valor. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 2009 and later published his bestselling autobiography, American Sniper, in 2012. His book recounts various experiences, some of which are unverifiable or alleged to be fabricated, including incidents in New Orleans and Dallas. Kyle was involved in a legal case when Jesse Ventura sued him for defamation. In 2013, Kyle was murdered by Eddie Ray Routh at the Rough Creek Lodge shooting range near Chalk Mountain, Texas. Routh, a former Marine, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without parole. His life and service have been depicted in a film adaptation of his autobiography, directed by Clint Eastwood and starred Bradley Cooper as Kyle.
