Chris Howard is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Arizona State University. He is also affiliated with the Grace Community Church of Seal Beach. Howard was born on May 5, 1975, and has a background as a former professional football player. He played as a running back in the National Football League for the Jacksonville Jaguars and was selected by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 1998 NFL draft. However, his professional career faced challenges due to fumble issues, which led to his release by the Broncos before playing a regular season game. Howard's fumble problems persisted when he was acquired by the Jaguars, where he was promoted to a regular role. Prior to his NFL career, he played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, where he contributed to winning a national championship in 1997 and led the team in rushing.
