Charles Stone: podcast appearances and interviews

Charles Stone was an English solicitor and a notable public servant who served as Mayor of Greenwich during most of the First World War. He was educated at the City of London School and became a solicitor in 1872. Stone was elected an alderman of Greenwich in 1900 and held the office of mayor multiple times, including during 1903 to 1904, 1906 to 1907, 1911 to 1912, and 1915 to 1920. His dedicated service to the community was recognized with a knighthood in the 1920 New Year Honours. Besides his public roles, he was also a pastor and author affiliated with Fisher Marantz Stone. Stone married Alice Elizabeth Hart, the daughter of Edward Hart, in 1882. He passed away at his home in Blackheath.
