Cathy Ladman: podcast appearances and interviews

Cathy Ladman is an American stand-up comedian, television writer, and actress. She has appeared in an installment of HBO's One Night Stand comedy series and has been a guest on The Tonight Show on ten occasions spanning from 1989 to 2023. Additionally, she has made six guest appearances on The Late Late Show between 2007 and 2015. Ladman has held supporting roles in films such as Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, My Fellow Americans, and White Oleander, as well as in two Mike Nichols films, What Planet Are You From? and Charlie Wilson's War. Her television credits include roles in Mad Men, Modern Family, Roseanne, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, Caroline in the City, Everybody Loves Raymond, Just Shoot Me!, and Pretty Little Liars. She contributed as a writer for the episode Ice Cubed of The King of Queens. In 1992, she received the American Comedy Award for Best Female Stand-Up Comic. Ladman's comedy style is characterized as a self-probing and anxiety-venting vehicle aimed at exposing personal neurosis. In 2007, she was featured in the Off-Broadway production J.A.P. - The Princesses of Comedy, which showcased live stand-up routines by four female Jewish comedians alongside stories of performers from the 1950s and 1960s, including Totie Fields, Jean Carroll, Pearl Williams, Betty Walker, and Belle Barth.
