Cary Grant, born Archibald Alec Leach, was an English-American actor renowned for his blend of British and American accents, debonair demeanor, and lighthearted approach to acting. Recognized as one of the definitive leading men of classic Hollywood, he was nominated twice for the Academy Award and received an Honorary Award in 1970. The American Film Institute named him the second-greatest male star of the Golden Age of Hollywood in 1999.
