Caitlin Durante: podcast appearances and interviews

Caitlin Durante, born May 17, 1986, in Pennsylvania, is an American writer, stand-up comedian, and podcast co-host based in Los Angeles. They hold a master's degree in screenwriting from Boston University and work as a scriptwriter and story analyst. Durante has conducted writing workshops in Los Angeles and Boston, which are offered online as of spring 2019. They also teach stand-up comedy to seniors at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. From early 2015 until April 2018, Durante was the program director for the Nerdmelt Showroom comedy venue at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles.

Durante is known for creating and co-hosting The Bechdel Cast, a weekly podcast focusing on the representation of women in film, alongside comedian Jamie Loftus. They have also developed a podcast titled Sludge, where they discuss their personal health experiences including pancreatitis and gallbladder removal in 2019, along with broader issues related to the U.S. medical system.
