Bucky Brooks: podcast appearances and interviews

William Eldridge Bucky Brooks Jr. is an American sportswriter and former professional football player. During his five-year career in the National Football League, he played for five teams, primarily as a kick returner. He was drafted in the second round of the 1994 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. Since retiring from playing, Brooks has established a career as an NFL analyst, currently working for NFL Network and NFL.com. He is in his sixth season as an analyst for the network and contributes weekly columns and video features including Scout’s Take and On the Beat. Brooks offers interactive analysis on NFL topics through weekly live online chats and has been involved in NFL in-game coverage, including serving as an analyst for Thursday Night Football during the 2010 season. He is also the co-host of the podcast Move the Sticks, alongside Daniel Jeremiah, where they produce multiple episodes each week focusing on NFL and NCAA game previews and reviews as well as NFL Draft scouting. During the 2024 preseason, Brooks served as a commentator for the Jacksonville Jaguars TV Network. He is known for his insights into the NFL Draft and has made notable predictions, such as his 2026 prediction that Fernando Mendoza would be the number one draft pick, despite his belief that Mendoza should not be.
