Bruce Lisker: podcast appearances and interviews

Bruce Lisker is an American man who was wrongly arrested, tried, and convicted for the 1983 murder of his adoptive mother. At age 17, he was accused of killing Dorka, who was 66 years old at the time, in the family's residence in Sherman Oaks. Lisker served over 26 years in various California prisons, including the California Youth Authority, San Quentin State Prison, and Mule Creek State Prison. His conviction was overturned in 2009 by United States district court judge Virginia A. Phillips, who found that his 1985 conviction was obtained through the use of false evidence and ineffective assistance of counsel. Following the overturning of his conviction, Lisker was released from prison on August 13, 2009. Subsequently, the Los Angeles County District Attorney dropped all charges against him on September 21, 2009, citing a lack of evidence.
