Bruce Hoffman: podcast appearances and interviews

Bruce R. Hoffman is an American political analyst specializing in terrorism, counter-terrorism, insurgency, and counter-insurgency. He serves as the Shelby Cullom and Kathryn W. Davis Senior Fellow for Counterterrorism and Homeland Security at the Council on Foreign Relations. In addition to his role there, Hoffman is a professor at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and holds the title of Professor Emeritus and Honorary Professor of Terrorism Studies at the University of St Andrews. From 2003 to 2024, he was the George H. Gilmore Senior Fellow at the U.S. Military Academy's Combating Terrorism Center. Hoffman's interest in international relations began during his undergraduate studies at Connecticut College, and he earned his doctorate from Oxford University in 1986. Over the years, he has held multiple academic and research positions relevant to his expertise. In May 2022, Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin appointed him as a commissioner on the Commonwealth of Virginia's Commission to Combat Antisemitism.
