Brendan Lee: podcast appearances and interviews

Brendan Lee is an instructional coach and host of the Knowledge for Teachers podcast. He is affiliated with St. Matthew's University. Lee is a former professional Australian rules football player who played at the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League. He is also known for his long career with East Perth in the West Australian Football League. Lee made his senior WAFL debut in 2007 at the age of 19 and became a regular senior player for the Royals by 2010. He won the club's best and fairest award in 2011 and played a total of 60 games for East Perth. At age 24, he was recruited to the AFL by Essendon with a late selection in the 2012 Rookie Draft, where he played two senior games during the 2012 season. He also played in the Victorian Football League for Essendon's VFL-affiliate Bendigo. After being delisted at the end of the season, Lee returned to East Perth, winning another best and fairest award in 2013 and serving as club captain. His career was impacted by a doping suspension related to a banned substance used during the 2012 season. Initially found not guilty, he was later found guilty after an appeal and served a suspension that caused him to miss the entire 2016 WAFL season. Lee retired from WAFL football with a career total of 124 games for East Perth.
