Brenda Chapman: podcast appearances and interviews

Brenda Chapman is an American animator, screenwriter, storyboard artist, and director born in 1962 or 1963. She made history in 1998 as the first woman to direct an animated feature from a major studio when she directed DreamWorks Animation's The Prince of Egypt. Her influential work in animation continued with her role as director of the Disney/Pixar film Brave in 2012. Alongside co-director Mark Andrews and with contributions from Steve Purcell, she helmed the film which earned her the distinction of becoming the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Chapman's career is marked by pioneering achievements in the animation industry, reflecting her significant contributions to the art form.
