Brandon Winn Sanderson, born on December 19, 1975, is an American author known for his work in high fantasy, science fiction, and young adult literature. His notable novels include the Mistborn series and The Stormlight Archive, both set within the fictional universe called the Cosmere. In addition to these, he has written several young adult and juvenile series, such as The Reckoners, the Skyward series, and the Alcatraz series. Sanderson also completed the high fantasy series The Wheel of Time, originally authored by Robert Jordan. His creative works extend to two graphic novels, White Sand and Dark One.
