Brad Garrett, born Brad H. Gerstenfeld on April 14, 1960, is an American actor and stand-up comedian with a diverse career in entertainment. He gained early success as a stand-up comedian in the early 1980s and subsequently appeared in television and film in minor and guest roles. Garrett's breakthrough came with his role as Robert Barone on the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which debuted in 1996 and lasted for nine seasons. His performance as Jackie Gleason in the television film Gleason in 2002 earned critical praise and an Emmy nomination. Garrett also starred as Eddie Stark on the Fox sitcom 'Til Death from 2006 to 2010 and appeared in the ABC sitcom Single Parents from 2018 to 2020. Beyond acting, Garrett is recognized for his voice work in numerous animated films and series, including roles in Casper, A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo, Tarzan II, Ratatouille, Tangled, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, among others. He has won three Primetime Emmy Awards and received three additional nominations. Garrett remains active in stand-up comedy and owns Brad Garrett's Comedy Club at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he performs regularly. In addition to his television and film work, he contributed to the creation of the Disney+ series Big Shot in 2021, collaborating with David E. Kelley and Dean Lorey.
