Shad Gregory Moss, known by his stage name Bow Wow formerly Lil' Bow Wow, is an American rapper and actor born on March 9, 1987. His career launched at a young age when he was discovered by rapper Snoop Dogg in 1993 at the age of six. Five years later, he signed with Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings, which is an imprint of Columbia Records. As Lil' Bow Wow, he released his debut studio album Beware of Dog in 2000 at the age of 13. This was followed by his second album Doggy Bag in 2001.
