Bob Gurr: podcast appearances and interviews

Robert Henry Gurr, born on October 25, 1931, is an American amusement ride designer and Imagineer renowned for his work with The Walt Disney Company. His contributions to Walt Disney's Disneyland Park and its sister parks include designing most of the ride vehicles for many of the park's earliest attractions. These include the Autopia cars, Main Street Vehicles, the Disneyland Monorail, the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Submarine Voyage, and the Haunted Mansion. Gurr has played a significant role in shaping the visual and experiential aspects of Disneyland's historic rides. In addition to his work on Disney attractions, he contributed to the development of the King Kong Encounter animatronic at Universal Studios Hollywood. Recognized for his innovative designs and impact on amusement ride development, he was named a Disney Legend in 2004.
