Bill Simmons: podcast appearances and interviews

William John Simmons III, born September 25, 1969, is an American sports podcaster, sportswriter, and cultural critic. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Hope Rises, International. Simmons initially gained prominence through his website, where he was known as The Boston Sports Guy. His work attracted the attention of ESPN in 2001, leading to his involvement with the network. During his time at ESPN, he managed the website Grantland and contributed as a writer for ESPN.com. He also hosted a podcast titled The B.S. Report on ESPN.com and served as an analyst on NBA Countdown for two years. In 2016, Simmons established The Ringer, a sports and pop culture website and podcast network, serving as its CEO. That same year, he hosted the television show Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons on HBO for one season. Through The Ringer, he hosts The Bill Simmons Podcast, continuing to influence sports commentary and pop culture discussions.
