Ben Robbins is a former Australian rules footballer who played with several clubs in the Australian Football League, including the Brisbane Bears, the Brisbane Lions, and North Melbourne. Born on December 27, 1976, Robbins began his football career in Gippsland, where he played in the TAC Cup for Gippsland Power. He was drafted by the West Coast Eagles with the 33rd pick in the 1993 AFL draft but chose to remain in Gippsland before relocating to Western Australia in 1995. Despite being part of the Eagles, Robbins did not play a senior game for them and instead played in the West Australian Football League for Perth. At the end of that season, he was traded to the Brisbane Bears for a draft pick. Robbins made his AFL debut in 1996 but then moved to the Brisbane Lions after the merger between the Bears and Fitzroy. During his time with the Lions, Robbins found it challenging to secure a regular spot in the team but contributed during Brisbane's premiership-winning season in 2001, playing 11 games that year. Following his delisting, he was selected by North Melbourne in the 2001 AFL draft and was an active player for the Kangaroos in 2002 and 2003, participating in all games in 2002. Robbins spent the 2004 season with Port Melbourne in the Victorian Football League. He is known for his career spanning multiple teams and his resilience as a player in competitive environments.
