Barry Andrew Hall, born on 8 February 1977, is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League for the St Kilda Football Club, Sydney Swans, and Western Bulldogs. Recognized as one of the best forwards of the modern era, he was named an All Australian and led his club's goalkicking on eleven occasions. Hall captained the Sydney Swans to their 2005 AFL Grand Final victory and was the first player to kick 100 career goals for three AFL teams. His career began at St Kilda, where he led the club's goalkicking in 1999 and 2001. He is particularly noted for his time with the Sydney Swans, where he was a key player from 2002 to 2008, leading the club's goal scoring during that period and serving as co-captain from 2005 to 2007. Hall was instrumental in the Swans’ premiership win in 2005, helping to break a drought for the club, and contributed significantly to the promotion of AFL in Sydney, being featured in a 2006 marketing campaign alongside Tony Lockett.
