Barry Black: podcast appearances and interviews

Barry Clayton Black, born on November 1, 1948, is the 62nd chaplain of the United States Senate. He began serving in this role on June 27, 2003, becoming the first African American and the first Seventh-day Adventist to hold the office. Prior to his appointment as Senate chaplain, Black served over 27 years in the United States Navy Chaplain Corps. During his military career, he rose to the rank of rear admiral (upper half) and served as the Chief of Chaplains of the United States Navy. Black retired from the Navy on August 15, 2003, and subsequently took on his role as Senate chaplain, providing spiritual support and conducting religious services for the Senate chamber.
