Aziz Abu Sarah: podcast appearances and interviews

Aziz Abu Sarah is a Palestinian peace activist, journalist, social entrepreneur, and politician born in 1980. His activism was notably influenced by the death of his brother, who sustained internal injuries after being released from Israeli detention following a year-long incarceration for stone throwing. Following this personal tragedy, Abu Sarah turned to anti-Israel political writing and became involved in promoting dialogue and reconciliation. After completing high school, he learned Hebrew and joined an organization that supports families bereaved by violence, where he also lectured in schools to oppose violent activism. Abu Sarah co-founded Mejdi, an alternative tour company alongside his Jewish friend Scott Cooper, which offers diverse perspectives on cultural and historical sites to tourists in various multi-cultural locations. His work in conflict resolution has garnered recognition in countries such as Colombia and Afghanistan. In addition to his activism, Abu Sarah has advocated for improved political representation and living conditions for Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem through his association with political advisor Gershon Baskin. His efforts focus on fostering understanding and cooperation amid ongoing regional conflicts, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and mutual respect in conflict zones.
