Anthony Stevens: podcast appearances and interviews

Anthony Stevens is the associate director of digital strategy at the University of Salford. His background includes a career in Australian rules football, where he played for the North Melbourne Kangaroos. Stevens was a member of North Melbourne premiership teams in 1996 and 1999, and was recognized as an All-Australian in 1998. He also represented Victoria in the State of Origin football that year. Throughout his playing career, Stevens won the club's Best and Fairest award twice, in 1997 and 1999. In addition to his on-field achievements, he was involved in notable events such as a serious injury in 2000 when he was hit by falling glass, which required two operations and resulted in the loss of two litres of blood. Stevens's career was also marked by a high-profile controversy in 2002 involving fellow footballer Wayne Carey, which led to Carey’s resignation from the North Melbourne Football Club. After retiring from the AFL at the end of the 2004 season, Stevens continued to be involved in football, including playing for the Caulfield Grammarians Football Club and with Benalla in the Goulburn Valley Football League. Additionally, he served as an ambassador for the Victorian Country Football League.
