Anthony Kiedis: podcast appearances and interviews

Anthony Kiedis, born on November 1, 1962, is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He spent his youth in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his mother before moving to Hollywood shortly before his twelfth birthday to live with his father. During his time at Fairfax High School, Kiedis developed friendships with Flea and Hillel Slovak, who became members of the band Anthym. After attending UCLA for two years, he dropped out and formed a band with Flea, Slovak, and drummer Jack Irons. This group performed under the name Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem before evolving into the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band has released thirteen studio albums and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Kiedis's songwriting has evolved from early themes centered around sex and life in Los Angeles to more reflective topics such as love, addiction, and loss. He struggled with addiction for many years but has stated that he has been clean since 2000.
