Anousheh Ansari: podcast appearances and interviews

Anousheh Ansari is an Iranian-American engineer, space tourist, and entrepreneur born on September 12, 1966. She is the co-founder and chairwoman of Prodea Systems, and has previously served as co-founder and chief executive officer of Telecom Technologies, Inc. Her achievements include becoming the first Iranian person to travel to outer space on September 18, 2006. Ansari was the fourth self-funded space tourist and the first self-funded woman to visit the International Space Station. She co-authored a memoir titled My Dream of Stars with American engineer Homer Hickam, which was published in 2010. In addition to her space pursuits, Ansari is the chief executive officer of the XPRIZE Foundation. Her family's support is recognized through the Ansari family being the title sponsor of the Ansari X Prize.
