Annalee Newitz: podcast appearances and interviews

Annalee Newitz is an American journalist, editor, and author of both fiction and nonfiction. They have contributed to a variety of publications including Popular Science, Film Quarterly, and Wired. Newitz has also held several editorial and analytical roles, including serving as the culture editor of the San Francisco Bay Guardian from 2000 to 2004 and working as a policy analyst at the Electronic Frontier Foundation beginning in 2004. From 1999 to 2008, they wrote a syndicated weekly column called Techsploitation. Newitz co-founded Other magazine with Charlie Jane Anders, which was published from 2002 to 2007. They served as editor-in-chief of io9, a media venture focused on design and technology owned by Gawker, from 2008 to 2015, and continued their work with its successor Gizmodo. As of 2019, Newitz contributes opinion pieces to The New York Times.
