Andy Mineo: podcast appearances and interviews

Andrew Aaron Mineo, born on April 17, 1988, is an American hip hop artist, producer, music executive, and video director based in New York City. He initially worked as a producer during high school at Henninger High School in Upstate New York and was part of the hip-hop group Fat Camp, signed to Syracuse University's Marshall Street Records. After moving to New York City, Mineo rededicated his life to Christ, closing his production studio to pursue his career with renewed purpose. His first mixtape, Sin is Wack, was released independently in 2009. He became involved with the community outreach program T.R.U.C.E., founded by Nicky Cruz, which connected him with collaborators such as Alex Medina, Wordsplayed, and Rich Perez. Mineo's collaboration with Medina on the track Background led to his introduction to Reach Records, where he was later signed. His debut album, Heroes for Sale, was released in 2013 after signing with Reach Records, followed by the EP Never Land in 2014 and his second album Uncomfortable in 2015. Mineo established his own creative initiative, Miner League, signing artists including Wordsplayed and Willow Stephens. The first project from Miner League was Clowntown by Wordsplayed in 2016, and in 2017, Miner League partnered with Reach Records to release a collaborative mixtape titled Magic & Bird. In addition to his musical work, Mineo has directed music videos and television content, including Saturday Morning Car-Tunez and League Chumps. As a producer, he has worked on various tracks including the Grammy-winning album Gravity by Lecrae, which earned praise in the category of Best Gospel Album in 2013.
