Andy McQuade: podcast appearances and interviews

Andy McQuade is a British film and theatre director and writer currently based in Los Angeles. He is the co-founder of the now-defunct Act Provocateur International and is the founder of Second Skin Theatre, a company initially based in Stoke Newington in the London Borough of Hackney. Second Skin Theatre focuses on promoting new writing and readaptations of classic works. McQuade's debut film directing effort earned the 'Bronze Award for Best Narrative Short' from the International Indian Film Academy for the film 'Truco.' Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous actors and producers on the London fringe scene and now also works in Los Angeles. In 2012, he received the award for Best Theatre Director from Fringe Report. McQuade has been involved in industry recognition efforts, serving on the judging panel of UK Webfest in 2017, an event that celebrates talent in web-based narrative dramas. The panel included notable industry figures such as BAFTA winners Sophie Venner and BAFTA nominee Benjamin Johns. Apart from his work in theatre and film, McQuade is also an author; he wrote the memoir 'Breaking The Chain,' which details his escape from drug addiction and reveals that he attempted to kill his abusive father at the age of twelve.
